It's not really school that's always easy for me and I'm drifting right through it.
Really I've just been busy with friends and finding a new job after having been layed off from a steak house. That's okay I didn't like it there anyway, one: I'm a vegertarian and two: Non-stop country music was starting to make my skull collapse in on my brain. Still the economy's so bad it's hard to get a job. But mostly I've been taking time off with friends and just trying to enjoy my youth while I still have it I guess. I mean almost everyone's going away to college next year and I'm so terrified I'll never see them again. Distance is so hard to manage but I've already promised myself I'll hold onto them as long as I can and try to keep us together, though I'm probably attending college with at least one or two of my best guy friends that or I'm running off to Europe with my friend Ashley who's going into a program that has you learn the lagnuage while living in the country for a year. It costs two thousand dollars for everything (yipes) and we'd be right next to the Coliseum if we went to Rome, though I'm trying to sway her towards France and if she agress we'll definately run off to France together for a year. But still I'd have to skip a year of college to do that and I dunno if I will, but enough about the future.
I've decided to try living in the now, it seems hedonistic and even lazy but honestly all we have is now and when people see that maybe they'll learn to apperciate that. Tomorrow, who knows when that'll be and what it'll be like, for all we know a bomb could drop and everything could be lost. And nothing you ever planned for would matter. Okay I'm being dramatic but honestly I'm tired of people always telling me to plan ahead plan ahead, yes I know that I have to be prepared but if I'm always planning ahead I'll never live. How does one live in a moment if they're always thinknig ahead, there's no now, there's nothing if that's how you live. In the end you'd spend your entire life looking to the future and wasting every moment you had with everyone you knew and you'd realize you never knew them at all because you never absorbed them or took time to understand them. Yah dig?
Yes I'm a weird rambler, sorry I've been thinking too much.I explored Europe with two of my best friends without any parents or any worries and I've been dabbling in buddhist philosophy and taoist philosophy and basically any kind of philosophy I can get my hands on. And now I'll leave you with a quote that I think everyone should apply to their lives.
"Nothing is worth getting upset about."
